The United Auto Merchants Association (UAMA) was established in 2007 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to assist in the development, growth, and stability of small to mid-size automotive industry businesses by assisting them in;
• Achieving “Full Operating Compliance” with city, state and federal laws
• Developing their management practices and operating procedures
• Improving the overall knowledge and technical skills of their management and service personnel
• Ensuring increased career opportunities for current and future employees

UAMA staff is fully committed to serve the automotive industry with the most professional, responsive and dedicated team. All services are provided to Members and clients throughout NYC’s 5 boroughs and surrounding area.
These efforts ultimately contribute to the business and economic development of communities as well as the improved quality of life for its residents and industry workers through safer and cleaner work environments.
A key focus under the UAMA umbrella is the training of auto mechanics in Bronx & NYC to achieve ASE Certification via training seminars.

Serving as “The Bridge to a Healthy Automotive Industry”, UAMA developed and administers a Business Development Cycle (BDC) consisting of 3 phases: Automotive Compliance, Automotive Business Management, and Automotive Personnel Training. Participation in the BDC, leads to economic growth and job creation.
UAMA is the leading community based organization that helps auto related businesses secure all the necessary licenses, permits, certificates required to be in full operating compliance.
UAMA offers unique Membership Services and Resources to meet the needs of small to mid-size automotive repair / maintenance business owners and their employees. (Registration Required)
UAMA staff is fully committed to serving the automotive industry with the most professional, responsive and dedicated team. Our Services and Resources are provided to registered Members throughout the NYC 5 boroughs and surrounding area. Services and Resources are also available to Non-Members for a fee.
Through the UAMA Auto Tech Training Center (UATTC), UAMA provides bilingual (English/Spanish) automotive repair / maintenance seminars for mechanics to obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification by preparing them to take and pass the ASE Certification exam.
Elite Auto Tech Training Center” (EATTC)
The EATTC conducts training seminars for mechanics on three levels; Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. The Basic level has 14 seminars that prepare mechanics to take and pass the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification exam. The Intermediate and Advanced level seminars each offer 24 seminars that further develop technician’s skills in a variety of specialized auto industry service areas in preparation to take and pass additional ASE Specialized Certification exams.
